Other forms of relaxation: 
There are many types of relaxation that haven’t been discussed in this
chapter which are worth noting:
Transcendental meditation: Another form of meditation.
Neurolinguistic programming: A method of becoming aware of
what you say to yourself.
Biofeedback: A method to learn to control your blood pressure,
pulse rate, and relaxation.
Sensory Deprivation: An environment that provides no stimulation
to the body and allows the mind to wonder freely.
Alpha wave control: A method to learn to induce the ‘state of
mind’ highly conducive to learning.
Stress is a natural reaction to stimuli and will be with us throughout our
lifetimes. It is excessive stress that is harmful to both our studying and
bodies and it is important for the student to be aware of their own
stress levels and take appropriate action to reduce this excessive
stress.
