Every student suffers from either stress or academic anxiety. Stress is a
natural part of our lives, but excessive stress isn’t. Not only is excessive
stress not conducive to effective studying, its harmful effects can also
damage the body.
Stress is such a large and important topic that it is dealt with in this
whole chapter. We all suffer from stress but for some of us, we suffer
more from it. 
Stress can detrimentally affect our grades, attitude, and health not to
mention our overall well being. Understanding the risk factors that
cause stress is an important first step in reducing your own personal
stress. Once a student learns of the risk factors that cause their own
stress, they can take action to reduce their own stress levels. 
There are many techniques that are available to reduce stress, the
most important being a balanced lifestyle. By ensuring that you eat
correctly, exercise regularly and sleep enough you will be able to
take control in reducing your own stress levels.
