The brain is a marvelous creation. It is not a singular unit, but
composed of many different
brains in one. Each of these brains we
use differently for different purposes. We also distinguish between
each side of the brain we use and this has a dramatic effect on how
we deal with the outside world. On top of it all, the brain functions on
many frequencies called brain waves, which have a direct impact on
our learning ability.
Within all this complexity in our brain, there are certain preferences
we all have for learning and these are called learning styles. There
are seven generally accepted styles of learning which everyone is
capable of.
So how does this all come together? It all comes together into a small
three pound universe we call our brain and with a better
understanding of how it functions, we can cater tools to use it
effectively.
Your three brains in one:
Ground breaking research discovered by Dr. Paul Mclean shows that
there are actually three different brains, within our one brain. In each
of these brains, separate mental processes take place. These three
brains have been termed The Triune Brain; the reptilian brain, the
limbic brain, and the cortical brain. It has been postulated that each
