or account for your activities every hour of the day.
Why Use Study Hours
The use of study hours is a very important aspect of effective time
management. The two main reasons for this are:
1. A student is less inclined to rush through the study material. If you
were to read only two chapters as homework, chances are you would
read through them very quickly. If you were short on time, you would
rush through the chapter even quicker. However, by using study hours,
it doesnt matter how fast or slow the student reads as the clock cant
be rushed. This results in the student actually spending more time
effectively studying.
2. Students end up studying more with the study hours approach.
Since a student is studying by study hours and not by a certain
amount of work that needs to be completed, the process of study
hours encourages only completing the amount of work for the number
of hours allocated. This generally results in more time spent studying
and more material actually being covered.
