time on your studying, than on a time management program. Effective
time management should be a simple process.
The steps to effective time management are simple:
1. Set your study goals,
2. Create a schedule, and
3. Include your daily tasks into a to-do list.
It’s that simple!
Setting your study goals
Your study goals are your academic aspirations for the academic
year. If you are working on a semester system and each course is only
one semester long, you can break the study goals down into each
semester. If some courses run for the entire year, you’ll need to set
your study goals for all your subjects for the entire academic year.
Study goals in many cases are the grades or GPA that you want. This is
an important step for both the conscious and subconscious as this is
where you will be making a firm choice on how well you will want to
do in the upcoming academic year.

need to figure out what that GPA or grade will be. For students that
are working on a GPA they will need to combine the grade from
each of their classes during the academic year and include their
previous GPA to be able to come out with a reasonable estimate.

achieve for the academic year, you will need to decide how much
time that will take you to achieve it. This may seem like a difficult
prospect, but in fact with a little practice and investigation is it not
very difficult.
Your estimation will depend on your prior experience and academic
efficiency. To help you determine a reasonable estimate, ask your
teacher or lecturer how many hours are estimated to be required for
a student to do well in their class. Your estimation will also depend on
